Australia Communities Road Trip
In early 2018 we have 2 local journeys planned connecting with alternative, sustainable, and indigenous heritage, and our incredible natural environment.
March 16 – 25 Ancient Victorian Landscapes and the Story of the Eel
In March the legendary ecologist, bushman and historian Don Butcher will be joining us to travel into the far west of Victoria on a journey connecting to ancient landscapes and the stories within them.
I found this trip earthy, awakening and fun. Would recommend it highly! (Jonathan, Aus Trip 2017)
Transport and accommodation
We’ll travel via coaster bus, setting up our own camping accommodation along the way. When visiting communities we’ll make a contribution to current projects and get involved in return for some sit down conversations about the triumphs and challenges faced. We’ll eat local produce, learn local ways, and connect with the land and inspirational people spending doing inspirational things.
The trip will be departing from and arriving back at CERES in East Brunswick, Melbourne.
Later in 2018 – The story of water
Later 2018 we will again be joined by Don to spend 5 days in the forests and mountains around the Melbourne vicinity learning the story of our water.
Cost: $980 for the 5 day journey, which includes all meals, transport, camping and engagements.
