Soon Launching!
Responding to calls from volunteers seeking a place to connect their deeper truth to community at CERES, the CERES Volunteer Program is launching a new initiative called CERES Community Heartspace.
Drawn from the peer circle model for community, CERES Community Heartspace will soon be inviting interested volunteers, staff, supporters, stakeholders and visitors to respectfully sit together to share from the heart as one community of common interest. We will establish a sacred space to safely share our individual heart’s truth on themes such as (but not limited to) 'hope', 'fear', 'struggle' and 'blessing' as we work to co-create the world built around our CERES Core Values (Sustainable Environment, Social Equity, Cultural Richness and Community Participation).
These conversations will be facilitated, time-bound and aimed at sharing personal perspectives from the universe of each individual’s heart. They will not be a forum to fix or change anything or for lecture or debate, merely to share and have empathy for each heart's journey on the magical tour to the 'new world' via CERES!
The exact start date will depend on when the volunteer team can be built to facilitate the first circles. This is expected to happen in October or November.
To express interest in taking part in this initiative as a facilitator or a participant email the CERES Volunteer Program Coordinator Greg Thorpe at volunteers@ceres.org.au, alternatively call CERES reception and leave a message for Greg on 9387 2609.
