We don't want you and the beautiful fruit and veg to cook so we will be opening and closing an hour earlier in these hot summer sun months. Come on down and take advantage of all the lovely summer fruits and veg that are in mighty abundance!

CERES Organic Market plays a vital role in the local food network. The market sells freshly harvested produce from our own market gardens and the social food enterprises we support, and we share food mile info about all of our produce. Each week, in all weather, we sell the best local produce from small sustainable growers and backyard producers around Melbourne. A vibrant atmosphere with live music and craft stalls, the market is the centre of our food network.

CERES SHOP has extended its Friday opening hours, we're now open 9am - 5pm

We love encouraging a sustainable shopping experience so please bring your containers for our bulk whole foods and cleaning products with you. Feel free to inquire about ordering bulk items through the shoppe, discounts do apply.
Any new eco friendly product information or inquiries are more then welcome.

Market Manager Dori Ellington Talks to ABC Radio About Local Grown Produce
Dori had a recent chat to ABC about eating local and the yummy local produce available at CERES Market.
The journalist was embarking on a "locavore" quest to live for a month on food produced within 100 miles (160.9 kilometres).

Food Co-ops
CERES Organic Market co-ordinates food co-ops which provide affordable organic produce, grown on site and sourced as locally as possible, to our staff and volunteers, and a growing number of inner city food co-operatives. Urban Orchard
CERES Farm is the pioneer of the Urban Orchard project where excess fruit from local backyards is traded, donated or given away at the Market each week. The project counts over 140 households as members and aims to minimise organic food waste, reduce food miles and promote locally grown backyard produce.
