VET in Schools program
The CERES VET Training program began in 1999 with a group of students from the Heatherwood School. It has now expanded to the point that CERES is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offering VET in Schools programs for both Certificate II in Horticulture and Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations).
Both are offered as a half or full day per week class, on-site here at CERES, and provide hands-on real-life work experience with VET trainer/assessors. The programs employ a “hands on” approach that promotes interpersonal relationships, leadership skills and aim to foster a fundamental understanding of sustainable horticultural and food systems.
Students will also receive nationally recognised training certificates and statements of attainment that are recognised by all RTO’s in Australia. Completion of either of the certificates may also be counted towards VCE units. (See relevant schools requirements for details).
