Mini Case Study: Growing Plants Can Change Your Life

Gregory Lorenzutti

Gregory Lorenzutti

Gregory Lorenzutti is a Brazilian-Australian artist based in Melbourne, Australia, working between the spaces of photography, dance and urban farming.

Photography, dance… and farming? Strange bedfellows you might think, but Gregory has found a way to connect all three through storytelling, an eye for subtlety, human emotion and passion for beauty.

Gregory was a recent graduate from our Complete Urban Farmer Course and in his own words, “My experience at CERES attending the Complete Urban Farmer course has changed my life… I’m so grateful to have had the chance to engage with such a green revolutionary community.”

Since completing the course Gregory has started offering Urban Farming Workshops and backyard transformations, he has been invited to be part of 3000acres‘ Moreland Grows Project, and his garden will be listed in Open Gardens Victoria in February 2019. Gregory also offers talks about ‘urban farming for any space’.

What’s next? Gregory is considering undertaking the Introduction to Horticulture – Cert II at CERES in order to build his credentials and engage in a professional career in urban farming. A wonderful case study of finding alternative pathways into doing what you really love to do.
