Organic Farm Internship

Background

The CERES Community Food System is a working collection of farms, animals, ethical retail enterprises and food projects. We aim to demonstrate how an urban city farm can anchor a community and contribute to the local economy; providing an ethical market place, employment and opportunities for farmers, producers, teachers and food workers in an environment where we can celebrate the harvest. 

Honey Lane Market Garden:

Set on half an acre of land and containing a beautiful mix of fruit trees and raised garden beds, worm farms, a propagation area and an outdoor classroom. Produce is available for purchase at our Grocery and features on specials at our Merri Table restaurant.

Chooks:

Honey Lane is also home to 200 Isa brown and Australorp laying hens. Our lovely chooks provide us delicious organic eggs each week and available to purchase at our Grocery.

Propagation:

Provides certified organic seedlings to our market gardens and Nursery. We propagate and grow a wide range of organic vegetables and herbs.
