The CERES Community Garden was one of the first projects at CERES and has played a key role in educating people about the role of localised urban food growing in increasing food security. Over the last 40 years it has inspired many other communities to start their own gardens. It provides space for community members to grow food for their families and retain cultural food growing practices.
In 2021 we completed a five year renewal of the Community Garden which included extensive consultation. This was in part funded thanks to the generosity of the community. You are able to view the CERES Community Gardens plan here.
