Bring the team together for a day at CERES, located in Melbourne’s inner north, just 7km from the CBD, CERES is the perfect site to host your team’s next team bonding, strategy or volunteering day.

By volunteering at CERES, you can roll up your sleeves, learn from our award-winning educators and help your local environment charity. With two locations available, positioned just 2km from each other on the Merri Creek, CERES has options to fit your team’s needs. Choose the package that suits your team.

option A:

Working Bee

If you’re looking to roll up your sleeves and get some hard work done, this is the package for you. 
Example day:
9:00am Gather your team together at your CERES site.
9:30am Join us for a short tour of CERES, its history, and feel a sense of connection to the space.
10:00am You’ll be introduced to one of our horticulturists to get stuck into some work.
1:00pm Tools down for a well-earned lunch break.
2:00pm Hang up your gloves and depart CERES with
a sense of accomplishment.

Farm Immersive / Off-site Day

We get that off-site days need to be high value for your team. Let us take care of everything.
What your day might look like:
9:00am Gather your team at the Merri Cafe, and drop into your venue for the day.
9:30am-12.30pm Settle in and spend your morning strategising. We’ll take care of morning tea and lunch.
1:30pm Join us for a short tour of CERES, its history, and feel a sense of connection to the space. 
2:00pm Learn about food systems with one of our award-winning educators, or get stuck into volunteering with our Site Horticulturist.
4:30pm Leave CERES with a sense of accomplishment, new learnings and renewed connection to your team.

CERES, Brunswick East
Activities include gardening, weeding, painting, landscaping, composting and masonry across our 4 hectare park which includes an organic farm, environmental education centre and community hub.

CERES Joe’s Market Garden, Coburg
Our Coburg location, Joe’s Market Garden, located on the lovely Merri Creek. Joes is a beautiful, historic market garden in Coburg cared for by CERES. Activities are all farm-based, including planting, watering, weeding, harvesting.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing, and sturdy, closed toe shoes (we encourage participants not to wear white sneakers!)

What to bring: A water bottle, hat, sunscreen, raincoat and gardening gloves (optional). At both corporate volunteering locations there are onsite food and drinks options so bring along your wallet to support our social enterprises!

CERES – Brunswick East
Getting there: Take the #96 tram northbound to the end of Nicholson St. CERES is a 5 minute walk from the tram stop. The main entrance on the corner of Stewart St and Roberts St, Brunswick East. On site parking is available, including bike parking and electric vehicle charging. Please gather in the Merri Cafe Courtyard.

CERES Joe’s Market Garden – Coburg
How to get there: Take the #1 tram to Stop 133 – Harding Street and walk down Edna Grove to the end of the street where Joe’s is located. You can also ride along the Merri Creek bike path, and there is plenty of bike parking available. Street parking is available at 131 Harding Street.

CERES facilitators are expert staff with years of experience leading environmental education programs and services. Your financial contribution covers WHS, materials and tools, the time of your facilitator, admin-booking coordination and ongoing development of programs. CERES is a not-for-profit, relying mainly on grants, donations and our social enterprises. Your financial contribution for corporate volunteering helps us keep the lights on at CERES and build resilience as an organisation.
