CERES is an environmental education centre, community garden, urban farm and social enterprise hub spread across four locations, linked by the Merri and Darebin Creeks on Wurundjeri Country, Melbourne.

Up to 25 people per compartment.
Events with over 50 people or higher support requirements are considered ‘Special Events’ which require a CERES staff member to act as a Venue Supervisor at an additional cost to the hirer.

Booking times are inclusive of setup and pack down.
– Trestle tables & chairs.
– Power.
– Kitchenette including mini fridge, sink, kettle and cups.
– A wall fan in each compartment and openable windows. Please note that the train does not have air conditioning (they didn’t have that in Victorian times) and on hot days it can be warm in the train.

The Red Train is located in the middle of the CERES park, next to the Terra Wonder Play space and just beyond the Community Gardens. There is no car access within CERES, so all supplies need to be brought in on foot. Special Events with a CERES Venue Supervisor have the added benefit of vehicle access to the venue.
