CERES is an environmental education centre, community garden, urban farm and social enterprise hub spread across four locations, linked by the Merri and Darebin Creeks on Wurundjeri Country, Melbourne.

A lawned outdoor venue, with a small stage nestled alongside the Merri Creek. Its natural beauty is often favoured for weddings & larger gatherings. The Grove is close by and provides an alternate backdrop of olive and gum trees.
Up to 50 people.
When combined with the Village Pavilion, capacity rises to 150 people.
Events with over 50 people or higher support requirements are considered ‘Special Events’ which require a CERES staff member to act as a Venue Supervisor at an additional cost to the hirer. Learn more about ‘Special Events’.
$200 half-day, $400 full day
Half-day sessions:
Morning session (9am – 1pm)
Afternoon session (2pm – 6pm)
Booking times are inclusive of setup and pack down.
– Stage and shade sail
– Power access on the stage including 15 amp.
– Tables & chairs available to hire for larger events(pictured above).
– Public Address System may be rented if available. Includes speakers, mixer & microphone.
The Learning Centre is located on the eastern boundary of the Brunswick East Park, right in the bend of the Merri Creek. It’s closest major entrance and parking is on Lee street. There is no car access within CERES, so all supplies need to be brought in on foot. Special Events with a CERES Venue Supervisor have the added benefit of vehicle access to the venue.
