Meet a CERES Supporter

Sara is a proud CERES supporter and has been for a while. We sat down for a coffee at the Merri to ask how she feels about donating to CERES. Here’s what she had to say:

My name is Sara and I’m a proud CERES supporter. I first discovered CERES when my kids were really little, meeting other parents for play dates. From there I found myself enjoying exploring, visiting the grocery, having coffee and wandering around the farm.

In a way, I feel like my family has grown up around CERES, from the school excursions in prep, to my son completing a permaculture certificate last year. When we have visitors from out of town, we’ll often grab a couple of bikes or walk down the creek to the park. I’m really proud of it – CERES is a treasure in our community.

I support CERES with a donation each year because I know we need to pay what it takes to preserve places that we love. It’s important to ensure CERES can thrive and be creative, and to think of new ways to grow with the community. I know what it’s like to be in a community organisation when you’re just surviving, and you don’t have that space and time to come up with new things. Financial support makes that possible.

If you’re able to support, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to CERES today.
