CERES is an environmental education centre, community garden, urban farm and social enterprise hub spread across four locations, linked by the Merri and Darebin Creeks on Wurundjeri Country, Melbourne.

A rustic indoor/outdoor venue located in our Indonesian Village by the Merri Creek. A wooden hut with cathedral ceilings opens out onto an exclusive outdoor space. The Dapur’s natural beauty and tropical feel make it an ideal space to hire for casual celebrations and birthday parties.
Up to 50 people.
Events with 50 people or higher support requirements are considered ‘Special Events’ which require a CERES staff member to act as a Venue Supervisor at an additional cost to the hirer.
$250 half-day, $500 full day.
Half-day sessions:
Morning: 9am – 1pm
Afternoon: 2pm – 6pm
Booking times are inclusive of setup and pack down.
– Includes the Dapur hut and the wooden outdoor seating immediately outside the Dapur.
– Trestle tables & plastic chairs.
– Kitchenette: sink, kettle, mini-fridge, mugs, cutlery.
– Power points inside the Dapur & out. Limited points, so bringing extension cords is recommended.
– Additional outdoor space, including the covered outdoor area and semi-circle of wooden seating.
– Public Address System may be rented if available. Includes speakers, mixer & microphone.
The Dapur is located in northern edge of the park, the closest point in the park to the Merri Creek. It’s nearest entrance is the Merri Creek footpath heading south. The closest parking is back at the Main entrance on Stewart St, and without any vehicle access in the park, be prepared to bring in any supplies on foot. Special Events with a CERES Venue Supervisor have the added benefit of vehicle access to the venue.
